Job Description: 

As an Accountant, you will provide financial advice to clients that range from individuals to small, and medium sized businesses. Your work and job duties may vary due to different areas of practice, including independent examination, management consultancy, recovery, forensic accountancy, taxation, assurance and corporate finance. You will prepare accounts and tax returns, control income and expenditure and reconcile financial information. You will compile and present reports on budgets, business plans, provide tax planning services with reference to current legislation. You will negotiate the terms of business deals and move with clients and associated organisations, meet and interview clients, manage colleagues, workloads and meet deadlines.

Skills required:

        • A qualification of ACCA / CIMA / ACA is desirable, with minimum 2 years working experience in accounting field
        • Alternatively, Part-Qualified candidates with extensive professional experience (Qualified By Experience – QBE)  of minimum 5 years will be considered
        • Business acumen and interest 
        • Organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines 
        • Team working ability 
        • Communication and interpersonal skills both in Bengali and English 
        • Proficiency in IT 
        • Analytical ability

Main duties and responsibilities:

As an Accountant, you’ll need to; 

        • Prepare financial statements, business plans, commentaries and budgets for management or client reports; 
        • Regularly undertake independent examination and reconciliation of the organisation’s accounts, 
        • Analysing risk, inspecting the organisation’s current practices, investigating any financial irregularities and recommending improvements 
        • Review, implement and adapt new and existing financial systems and controls 
        • Produce and analyse annual, quarterly and monthly accounts 
        • Provide regular financial reports 
        • Liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) or non-financial members of staff, providing financial information and advice 
        • Advise clients on financial policy and control, such as the costs benefits analysis of a particular project 
        • Deal with and advise on tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax legislation 
        • Advise clients on areas of business improvement; 
        • A methodical approach and problem-solving skills 
        • High level of numeracy 
        • Delegate responsibilities effectively
